Para Wilbur fue el tiempo con Maggie, el amor de su vida. Su luna de miel en Venecia. Antes de que él lo echara todo a perder.
Años más tarde, cuando está al borde de la muerte, llega un tren que puede hacerle retroceder en el tiempo para revivir los momentos más relevantes de su vida. Pronto se da cuenta de la cantidad de cosas que habría cambiado...
Reseña
Me gusta la historia que presenta el autor en el libro. Muchas personas, así como Wilbur, creen que han vivido una buena vida, se sienten "felices" al final de su vida. Sin embargo, la oportunidad de ver tu vida de nuevo desde un tren te ayuda a ver los acontecimientos desde otra perspectiva, una que no habías visto antes. Te das cuenta que hay muchas decisiones que deberías haber cambiado, muchos caminos que no deberías haber seguido, pero lo hiciste.
La historia del libro no se queda en el arrepentimiento y la pena, el protagonista se encuentra impulsado a cambiar su pasado, aunque eso implique la posibilidad de vivir la "vida futura" o "vida eterna".
